Aging at Home

When you contact Help for Mom, you will be assigned an ElderCare Advisor having ample information and experience. They will take the time to get to know your situation and help your loved one find the right services to continue aging at home safely and independently.

In some cases, you may need assistance to weigh your options relating to aging at home versus relocating to a senior's community. Our ElderCare Advisors will help you navigate through your options and find the best solution for your individual needs and requirements.

Retirement Communities

Retirement Residences offer everything from Independent Lifestyles with active and engaged residents to Assisted and Secure Living for those who require an environment focused on health and wellness.

Your ElderCare Advisor will get to know you and learn about your individual needs and preferences. With Help for Mom's sophisticated information researchers, we can then filter through the offerings in your local area and discuss the best options to meet your needs. Your ElderCare Advisor can also confirm current availability, pricing and program options.

Your Eldercare Advisor can arrange tours, provide you with insider information and advise questions to ask while visiting the properties. They will follow up with you to help you weigh the pros and cons from each tour. The follow-up is probably one of the most important steps to help you look at each residence objectively - free from the pressures of individual sales processes.

Long Term Care Homes are usually regulated and care is funded by provincial, government health care systems. Help For Mom will provide you with a list of LTC facilities in your area, but cannot provide recommendations or assist you with admission. Admission is typically facilitated by the local health authority, which we are happy to refer you to.

Hospice Care

The most difficult time we share with our loved ones is the transition from this life to what comes next.  There are so many decisions and choices that need to be made, why not let us help you find a caring environment for your loved one to stay.

With 24/7 care, a hospice has all the help of a hospital with all the love and comfort of home.

What many people don't realize is that retirement homes are not only equipped, but have been helping residents and their families through this incredibly emotional time for many years. We can help find a community offering suitable care.
